After a
long night and a short sleep, I got up and ran to the metro station. Once arrived at Gares, the Rennes’ train and
bus station, I met up with Wojciech, my polish friend, three Polish girls and
three Russian girls to go to the city of Fougères (Wikipedia).

It was so hot that day, one of the hottest day in Rennes since I got here, and we had decided to go there because we were told that, apart from a big castle, there was a lake. And what better than spending my Sunday afternoon with a friend and six girls near a lake, right?
After an hour or so of bus ride, sleeping and suffering of the aircoless bus, we arrived at Fougères. It’s a nice city –sorry, no own pictures available, but you can find some on the wiki-page- and the castle was pretty big, although we didn’t go inside because it was a five euro entrance...
After
visiting the city and eating my baguette with cheese and wine (yes sir!), we
decided to go look for the lake. Well, it took us about 1,5hr to find it,
because even the French didn’t all know it and when we finally got there the disappointment
couldn’t be any bigger. The lake was actually there, but there was a 2metres
high fence built all around it. We could see the lake, the beach and even a
barbecue just a couple of meters away, but it was too good to be true… No swimming for us!
So after
this huge disappointment, we decided to go chilling in some park and we lay
there for about an hour before taking the bus back to Rennes. In short it was a
nice and beautiful day, in which I learned heaps from my Polish and Russian friends!
