After the first week of real courses, and the occasional beers, I went to Dinan on Sunday 18th. It was the same group as with whom I'd gone to St. Malo the week before, except for Pawel because he had to study.

Dinan (Wikipedia) is an old city in Brittany, more or less between Rennes and St. Malo and very known for it's big
viaduct. It took us only 1hr by bus to get there and off we were, discovering the city in the pooring rain. It rained more or less all day long, except for some occasional sunny moments, but that couldn't touch us. We were there to discover the city, and descovering we did! Well.. at least some of us (check this picture of Chris falling in the bushes).

Dinan has a high wall all around it's city center and actually looks like a highly fortified city. I suppose that during the Middle Ages it must've been of high importance, but then again, do we really care?
The most beautiful thing I saw that day, besides my bed after the long day of walking, was definetely the viaduct you can see on this picture. We made like fifteen pictures there, which I still need to acquire myself, as I still don't have a camera. More pictures from this amazing day on
Picasa.
