Being back after #SEA2014, it is not more than normal that I thank the people who have made this experience what it has been: magnificient.
- Wim: Eternal AFS-friend, for being in Myanmar and thus giving me the best excuse to actually go to this magnificent country and discover its history, culture, people and beauty;
- Eva: for helping me out with accomodation and sightseeings around Bangkok;
- Ban’k: for showing me Bangkok like the locals see it, both in a touristical way as in the rockstar-way. Good luck with The Whitest Crow my friend, I hope to hear more of you guys very soon!
- All the crazy foreigners in Khao San Road, Bangkok for being the people you were, Oxxi’s Place included.
- Micha: for his review from his Myanmar2013-trip, giving me good tips and tricks of the country, which have not only helped me but also been a good guide throughout the voyage.
- Lien, Wim’s awesome colleague, for being able to live/work with him for the past six weeks. I understand that it can be hard sometimes girl, but I assure you it will only get worse…
- My Italian, Belgian, Australian, New-Zealand, British, Israeli, etc. co-backpackers throughout Myanmar. Each and everyone of you has made a great impression on me, positively influencing my experience not only of Myanmar, but also of your home countries.
- All Myanmar locals who have been my guides (and/or set me up). You are coming from far, but you have an amazing country and culture and a great future lies ahead. Grab it with both hands, without neglecting your own history.
That’s it for #SEA2014. I hope you enjoyed reading and I hope to be writing about new travel experiences soon.
safe travels_
peace out_
